Introducing Faith Oldenburg as Young Belle. Read on to find out more about Faith, how she got hooked on musical theatre, and what she likes to drink before a performance.

Are you a Madison native?

Yes! I love living in this city because there are so many opportunities for students pursuing the arts!

When did you fall in love with musical theatre?

I fell in love with musical theatre about five years ago when I played the title role in the musical Annie. Singing, acting and dancing for that audience felt like magic. Performing was exhilarating, and I knew I wanted to do it again.

Have you done a show with Middleton Players Theatre before?

This is my first show with MPT! I was excited to audition because Beauty and the Beast holds a special place in my heart. I’ve always connected with the main character, Belle, and I’m delighted by this opportunity to portray a younger version of her!

What is your favorite part of the rehearsal process?

Probably the first couple of stumble through rehearsals. It’s fun to finally see the whole show, even though it’s not ready yet.

What do you eat or drink before doing a show?

Before shows I’m almost always sipping Bigelow’s Pomegranate Pizzazz herbal tea with lemon chunks and LOTS of honey. Delicious!
